About Our Tea Where is your tea grown? Our tea is grown and crafted in Dhakkamara, Panchagarh, in the far north of Bangladesh. The cool climate near the Himalayan foothills gives our leaves a clean, delicate flavor. What's the difference between green, white, yellow, and oolong tea? They all come from the same tea plant (Camellia sinensis). The difference is how the leaves are processed: White tea is the least processed. Young buds and leaves are simply withered and dried, giving a soft, subtle taste. Green tea is heated soon after picking to stop oxidation, which keeps it fresh and grassy. Yellow tea is like green tea but goes through an extra gentle "yellowing" step that makes it smoother and mellower. Oolong tea is partly oxidized, so it sits between green and black tea, with floral, fruity, or toasty notes. What is Dragon Well tea? Dragon Well (Longjing) is a famous style of green tea. Its leaves are pan-fired and pressed flat, which gives it a smooth, nutty, slightly sweet flavor. Is your Jasmine Tea artificially flavored? [Confirm your method. For example: "No. Our jasmine tea is green tea naturally scented with fresh jasmine blossoms, with no artificial flavoring."] Is your tea loose-leaf or in tea bags? All our teas are loose-leaf. Whole leaves give a fuller flavor than the broken leaves or dust found in most tea bags, and many can be steeped more than once. [If you also sell tea bags, mention it here.] Is your tea organic? [Answer based on your farming practice or certification. Only say "certified organic" if you hold a certificate.] Brewing & Storage How do I brew your tea? Use about 1 teaspoon (2–3 g) of leaves per cup (200–250 ml). As a general guide: Tea Water temperature Steeping time White tea 75–85°C 3–5 minutes Green tea / Dragon Well 75–80°C 2–3 minutes Yellow tea 75–80°C 2–3 minutes Jasmine tea 75–80°C 2–3 minutes Oolong tea 85–95°C 3–5 minutes Why does my green tea taste bitter? The water is usually too hot or the tea was steeped too long. Let boiled water cool for 2–3 minutes before pouring, and shorten the steeping time. Can I steep the same leaves more than once? Yes. Good loose-leaf tea, especially oolong and white tea, can often be steeped 2–4 times. Each steep brings out slightly different flavors. Should I add milk or sugar? These teas taste best on their own. If you like it sweeter, a little honey works well, especially with green or jasmine tea. How should I store my tea? Keep it in an airtight container away from sunlight, heat, moisture, and strong smells (tea absorbs odors easily). Don't store it in the fridge. How long does the tea stay fresh? Green, yellow, and jasmine teas taste best within about 6–12 months of opening. Oolong and white tea keep their flavor longer when stored properly. The amount depends on the leaves and how you brew them. Is tea good for health? Tea naturally contains antioxidants, and many people enjoy it as part of a healthy lifestyle. If you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or are sensitive to caffeine, please talk to your doctor about how much tea is right for you. Orders & Delivery Do you deliver all over Bangladesh?
